Damascus sheath knife have a relatively large blade suitable for whittling and also for hunting if necessary. I made the blade from two different types of tool steel using the traditional forge welding method.  The sheath is made of 2.5-mm bark-tanned leather. For Damascus sheath knives, I always select the best leather from the neck and back of the hide. At the customer’s request, I made an inlay in the end bearing the initials of the recipient. The sheath knife that I have manufactured is a traditional Finnish utility item, and I hope the owner often carries it with them.
